Bandy Jacobs followed his father, Reuben Turner Jacobs, into the auctioneer business of Jacobs & Kemper

crying his first sale in June 1947. Bandy was an original employee to Columbia Livestock Auction when it

opened in March 1948 & was co-owner by 1962. Bandy married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart,

Jean Stephens in June 1950. Together, Bandy & Jean ran a successful farm, raising cattle and bailing hay.

They loved to dance and were one of the founders of Saturday Nighters Dance Club at the Daniel

Boone Hotel. Jean was a Pink Lady for Ellis Fischel Cancer Center & Boone County Hospital & sang with the

 Columbia Mother singers for many years. This auction is a gathering of Bandy & Jean’s lifetime of

extraordinary travels & collections.
